Hello guys 🙂 and welcome back to a new Feeling Good Article 😊!
In this blog post I want to talk about a simple but powerful truth: perfection does not exist!
No one is perfect, remember that❤️
It’s important to remind ourselves, daily, that no one on this earth is perfect, we are all unique and different in our own ways. We are all here on this beautiful planet to try things, make mistakes, learn from each other…
I think that it’s so easy to get caught up in the idea of being perfect, accomplishing things perfecty, but that only leads to anxiety, disappointment, depression, hopelessness (at least that has been my case).
Instead, remind yourself everyday, that it’s ok to make mistakes and that every experience you encounter is a possibility for you to grow, evolve 🙂
Too hard on myself for many years
Growing up, especially when I began middle school (eleven years old) and further on, I started to become (very) strict, hard, on myself. At school, in subjects, especially in some of them, I always almost tried to be perfect, I wanted to receive high marks, just so I could please people, show that I was good enough.
I felt a sort of big pressure coming from myself and from some professors (not from my family fortunately❤️). I was comparing myself too often (I still can…it’s a journey remember❤️) with other people (classmates and so on).
One of my next feel good articles will be called comparison is the thiev of joy!)
Be kind to yourself ❤️
For many of us (at least I think so) self-kindness, love is a journey, something that we shall try to work on, in our everyday life. I like how my therapist ❤️ say it: “It’s like going to the gym :)” We need to exercise, practice, in order to become more confident, gentle with ourselves!
In fact, I am learning everyday to be kinder to myself❤️Sometimes or more than that, I still fall but then I slowly get back up! I have also help along the way. If you also need some help please do not hesitate to ask for it❤️.
I am perfect in my own imperfections ! 🙂
This is an affirmation which I love to repeate to myself, especially when I begin to feel overwhelmed, when I think that I am not good enough and so on. I love to write down on paper those kind of affirmations for my personal growth to remind myself that I am perfectly beautiful with all my imperfections. Recognizing that my flaws and imperfections do not define me, (they are an integral part of who I am!) it’s a good sign that I am becoming more confident with my own self! !

I have found the last three affirmations (on the photo that you see right above) on the site: https://mywellbeing.com/therapy-101/affirmations-for-when-perfectionism-makes-you-feel-inadequate
I hope you can take something away from this blog post ❤️
See you soon! 🙂 🥰
I send you all my love and lightness ❤️✨
