The Strength to Keep Going No matter What!❤️

Hey everyone! 😊❤️

In this motivational, mental-health blog post I write about the strength to keep going and fighting, no matter what life throws on one’s way. I also write about some of my life stories and helpful tools and tips that are helping me, and hopefully you too. Although once again, we are all different, what could work for me, might not work for you and vice versa!❤️

Trigger warning: in this article I discuss challenging mental-health topics. If you are going through a rough patch, struggling with your own mental-health, this blog post may be challenging for you to read. However, I also highlight important things and talk about how to manage the lows in life. The decision to keep reading is entirely yours❤️

Sometimes, the Words ‘Keep Going’ Are Tough

Sometimes, or more than that, hearing someone tell you ‘keep going,’ ‘keep fighting’ is truly hard to hear because maybe you find yourself in a tough situation, you are struggling really hard with your own mental-health or other life challenges.

You may want to move forward, keep fighting but there could be many internal and external factors making it harder for you to keep going. Although keep in mind always that there is strength within you believe it or not❤️

You are not alone…❤️

If you are reading this article and you struggle, and if it’s any consolation, know that you are not alone; there are many who struggle. I am one of many who has gone through some really challenging times and still struggles with mental-health❤️

A bit of my story…❤️

Looking back, mental health has always been a problem for me since a young age. Nevertheless, I managed to keep going, even after, for example crying all day, or enduring rough days in school, though it was hard.

It was not until the age of 15 that I started to really feel out of balance and completely on edge. My therapist at the time had not understood the seriousness of my emotional discomfort and had not taken the right decisions in regard of my mental wellbeing.

Sharing with you some raw facts…

What made me so uneasy was the constant struggles I had to endure at school: classmates making fun of me, some professors being not so kind and no so understanding regarding my academic struggles. Another challenge was my shyness; many would point that I was so silent and I also thought at the time it was a hindrance to my personal growth, and that made me hate myself.

There were really moments where I thought: “It’s over for me” “this is too much too handle” “I give up…”

What Made Me Keep Going❤️

At a certain point, my parents understood the seriousness of my mental suffering and contacted a psychiatrist for help. I was so depressed and the medication helped me to at least not suffer that much. A combination of talk therapy, medication, support from my family helped me to keep fighting no matter what.

I started journaling, doing yoga, stretching, and other small but meaningful activities. When I was feeling down I also listened (still do 🙂 ) to motivational stories from celebrieties who also had gone through a hard time. Listening to motivational videos was also a great support when I realized I wanted to pursue a modeling career and many people in school judged me for that, for having a different dream.

Healthy tools and tips along the way❤️

  • Professional support: seeking help from qualified professionals is a sign of strength, not a weakness, and often a vital step in managing mental-health challenges. Beyond your personal approaches, professionals can offer crucial guidance, diagnosis, and treatment as needed.
  • Support from loved ones: another important tip is receiving love and support from your family, if not from family, then from a friend. Having someone else who takes your hand in critical times is fundamental.
  • Mindfulness techniques: I think mindfulness is such an important tool for overall health but specifically for mental wellbeing. Mindfulness can be practised in many ways such as through nature walks, by drinking tea and focusing on the taste of it, through breathing techniques and more!
  • Self-loving affirmations: try to be as much as you can kind and loving towards yourself. I completely understand how tough it can be but through time, therapy it can be achievable. Write down on your journal, on post-it notes therapeutic words, sentences which make you feel valuable, worthy of love.

When you feel like giving up, remember your strength to keep going even if it seems needless, look back on how far you have already come and even if it could be painful, compliment yourself for still fighting no matter what!❤️

Acknowledging your own fight is a powerful act of self-care❤️❤️

Much Love and Light ❤️✨
