Healing: An Ongoing Process❤️

Hey everyone! 😊

In this new feel good blog post I talk about healing being a continuous, ongoing process, some of my personal life stories related to this theme along with motivational insights along the way!❤️

Trigger warning: if you struggle with mental-health or going through trying times, this article might be challenging for you to read. On the other hand, this post offers also motivational content, tips that could be useful for your healing journey❤️The decision to keep reading is entirely yours!❤️❤️

I begin this article by telling you this: “Most of the time, recovery is not a finish line, but an ongoing journey with setbacks and progress.” This is absolutely not a discouragement but an acknowledgement that things take time and that it’s okay to fall along the way.

Healing isn’t linear…❤️

A healing journey is often not that simple. There could be so many internal, external factors contributing to its extension, and these obstacles can make it harder to ‘fight back’ and stay motivated.

I completely understand this kind of process, as I am on a long healing journey myself. One day I can feel so energized and positive, and the next day I feel on edge and not so okay.

Because the healing journey can sometimes become so overwhelming, it’s truly important to have external support. You should not navigate the difficulties of life alone.❤️

Even though healing is not linear, there could be also blessings along the way and progress too 🙂

Sharing a bit of my story…❤️

As I mentioned before, I myself am on a truly long healing journey.❤️

In 2023 I went into a serious, deep depression and I thought I would never see myself moving forward ever again.

With the help of mindfulness and external support, starting in September of that year, I started very slowly, step by step to feel better.

At a certain point I could see light at the end of the tunnel. ✨

Some difficult moments…❤️

I was aware that I was not going to heal overnight, especially after hitting rock bottom and being in a severe emotional state in mid-2023. But at the same time, I would not have expected that my anxiety and mood to decline even with the help of professionals and medication.

In fact, the following year my anxiety worsened, leading to many anxiety attacks and low points. Even though I have better days now, my anxiety and depression can make it really hard for me to keep going, pushing forward.

It’s a constant fight, but with the reminder that I get stronger each time I encounter a setback❤️

Blessings along the way…❤️

I have slowly realized after my breakdown in 2023 that there is opportunity and blessing in the breaking. My mental breakdown later brought true, valuable blessings — gifts I never thought I possessed or believed were possible to achieve before 2023.

I discovered my love for writing, which became a big passion and a form of therapy for me. This includes everything from journaling and blogging to creating small motivational texts. My passion also extends to creating different kinds of videos—like motivational, fashion, and cooking videos—as well as other creative projects.

A journey of small, bigger steps…❤️

Because recovery can be so painful and difficult, it’s utterly important to see the small steps you have accomplished, not only the bigger ones. A number of small steps lead to a bigger milestone, so you do not have to immediately take a big leap to arrive wherever you want to be. ❤️

Give Yourself Grace ❤️

As you navigate your recovery journey, try to embrace yourself—even on the challenging days.

I remind you of that also because I know myself how tough it can be to love myself in moments of distress.

Cultivating self-love can be so difficult especially at the beginning, but don’t give up —keep trying, and keep learning from yourself. Remember that self-love is fundamental to one’s healing journey.❤️

Setbacks and blessings…❤️

Each time you stumble and fall, take a deep, mindful breath. Try to ask yourself what triggered you to fall and what you could do to rise from that struggle. You can also work through this with your therapist, a trusted friend, or a family member.

Have faith that within your struggles and wounds there could also be blessings and new opportunities. While setbacks can make everything so much harder and slower, don’t give up. You owe it to yourself to keep going, no matter how many storms you could encounter along your healing journey.❤️

No matter how many times you’ll fall, always remember that you are stronger than a challenge. You are a true fighter, always learning, evolving and growing❤️

Much Love and Light ❤️✨
