I guess we all want to see results immediately—to reach our goals as fast as possible so we can jump to the next level. However, there is no real adventure in that. It’s like holding a trophy without having run the marathon. If we simply move from one milestone to the next without the hard work, it isn’t an authentic win. At least, that’s my opinion.

Why the ‘Process’ is the Real Prize

We often get so fixated on the finish line that we forget the most important part: the journey itself. To give you an example, simply writing this article is a journey. It starts with pondering the theme I want to discuss. Then comes the moment to think thoroughly, write, rewrite, readjust my mistakes.

This process—the part you don’t see—is what makes me feel rewarded and so happy. While you see the finished text, the real beauty happened behind the scenes—in the unseen steps. 🙂

I understand completely that seeing the work finally done is satisfying; however, there is magic in the middle of the journey, too. Give love and appreciation to your work in progress—those quiet moments that most people never see. Celebrate when you’ve accomplished a difficult part of the job that you thought perhaps you wouldn’t make it through. Don’t wait until the very end! 🙂

The Courage to Not Give Up

When the road gets ‘twisted,’ it can be tempting to give up and leave everything behind. I see myself in this struggle often, especially in my healing journey; it’s a difficult path requiring immense patience. There are times when I just want to walk away, but I keep going even when it’s painful. My loved ones and the professionals I work with help me see the small yet vital steps I’m taking and how hard I’m trying—that is true courage.

It’s normal to feel deterred when things get harder than expected in your own journey, but it’s also crucial to know that you are learning more, gaining experience, and becoming more courageous as you face obstacles along the way. It wouldn’t be an authentic journey if everything ran smoothly and perfectly. All those highs and lows shape you into a stronger person!

Creating Your Story…

The beauty of the unseen steps is that they are yours to create and make into something special. In those times, you’re forging your own path and writing your story, even amidst uncertainty and fear. Each step you take matters, not just the grand ones. Each unseen step has its place, contributing to your personal growth. Even if you don’t know it yet, you’re writing something incredible.❤️

Celebrate Your Journey ❤️

Don’t wait until you get the job of your dreams or the gold medal in tennis to celebrate! Each milestone is a celebration; even if it’s a tiny move forward, be proud of yourself. It’s important to acknowledge and embrace all those ‘silent’ moments of hardship and to hug yourself tightly for overcoming them, even if you’re still struggling with other problems. You are truly brave to keep up with whatever is going on in your life, but don’t forget to also cheer for yourself when you reach something good. You owe it to yourself to be happy, even when there is chaos and pain in between.
