Hello guys! In this wellness article, I write about the importance of having a healthy morning routine in one’s daily life.
Throughout the years, starting from the age of 17-18, I’ve realised how important and impactful morning routines are for my overall health.
Mindful morning routines help me to start the day with the right foot. Then of course I can have setbacks here and there, but if you ask me if I stick to my morning rituals, the answer is yes 🙂
My healthy morning routines
Whether I am at home, or on vacation, I always try to stick to a morning routine, because it sets up my day in a more positive, and mindful way.
I usually put an alarm clock the night before, especially during the weeks, sometimes I wake up by the alarm clock, other times I get up by my own, around 6.30 a.m. to 9 a.m. Waking up early helps me to start the day better.
Next is drinking water which is absolutely fundamental in any of my routines, in fact it has become a very important, healthy habit for me!
Skincare and brushing my teeth are other important rituals which also reminds me to take care of myself❤️
Another super important thing is that I do not watch my mobile phone early in the morning, meaning I do not scroll on social medias, I only check messages if they are important…
At home, my mornings can vary, sometimes I prefer to start the day with some movement such as yoga or pilates, other times I begin by preparing my breakfast.
Then, I love to journal while drinking a warm cup of tea such as matcha. I usually start by writing down a positve, powerful affirmation, followed by three things I’m truly grateful for. While thinking and writing, I really try to embrace the practice of gratitude 🙂 Remember it doesn’t have to be something big, also the smallest of things can mean a great deal❤️❤️Afterwards, I put on paper difficult, beautiful emotions, positive or negative happenings happened recently. In this way I can become also happier, more relieved, discussing also personal facts with someone I trust 🙂
Another thing I do, before starting to work, is taking a morning walk outdoors, which is also one of my New Year’s resolutions. I’m going to be honest, sometimes it’s difficult to take this commitment, but once I do it I feel much better ❤️ with also more energies 🙂
During a vacation, I try to adapt myself based on the envirronment I find myself in.
When I visit a city and I stay in a hotel, for example, I begin my day by eating a proper, balanced breakfast, afterwards I make sure to have some time to do some journaling, stretching and breathing exercises.
If I spend days by the sea, (if I am not tired), I like to see sunrises, take a walk along the beach, and do a meditation. Then, if I am not in a rush, besides from some journaling, I enjoy taking a calming breakfast, admiring sea views…
