Have you ever felt like you’re simply being carried away by the flow, disconnected from who you truly are and what’s happening around you? If your answer is a yes, please know you’re not alone, and there is no shame in feeling this way. While it often looks like everyone else is on track, you might feel lost, hollow, and stressed to the point of a breakdown. But don’t lose hope—you can return to yourself, no matter how blocked you feel right now. Sometimes, it takes a lot of time—it certainly does for me. ❤️
Bits of My Story
Lost in the Storm
I started to question my own life around the age of fifteen or sixteen, when everything felt like it was falling apart. I was suffering deeply—my peers were bullying me, and I was struggling in school. The only thing keeping me alive was my dream of becoming a model, but outside of that, I wasn’t doing well at all. I felt lost, directionless, and devoid of value. Depression made me lose sight of who I was, leaving me disconnected and miserable. Because the help I received back then was not professional, it was a long, difficult battle.
Reclaiming Myself Step by Step
I began to embrace my identity and my uniqueness after leaving school for good at nineteen. Modeling became my anchor, my self-esteem improved, and everything seemed to be falling into place—until a new menta lhealth setback forced me to step away from it. I felt like I had completely lost myself all over again. However, over time, I’ve been discovering different ways to manage my low mood and emptiness, even on the days when it gets really tough. It’s a constant fight and a journey—where I lose myself and then regain the power back. ❤️
Rebuilding from Within
No matter how lost you feel, you can always rebuild from within—even if it takes years. Try to take it slowly and don’t rush, especially if the process feels heavy. Take it step by step. Just like your body needs time to process the food you eat, your mind needs time to process your personal journey. If you don’t like where you are right now, brainstorm, explore new places, and look for inspiration. Try new things, and don’t give up if something doesn’t work out on the first try. Your spark will return—just have more patience and keep faith in yourself. ✨
Embracing You Worth When You Feel Empty
It’s a true struggle to feel empty inside—to go somewhere and not feel any spark of enthusiasm. For me, it stems from depression, but generally speaking, it’s a challenge to feel as if you have nothing to give to the world. It’s okay. Try not to stress or fret, even if that is much easier said than done. When you’re going through a difficult period, remember to speak to yourself gently. Leave inspiring quotes and gentle reminders on post-it notes, on your diary, or on your phone. The emptiness might be there right now, but you are so much stronger than you think, and you have what it takes to deal with it.
Final Words of Comfort
Whether you feel like your head never stops spinning, or you’re dealing with difficult times, you’re still resilient. You’ll find your path, no matter how long it takes. It doesn’t matter how many attempts it takes to find your way in this world—what matters is that you keep trying. It’s an ongoing journey, too: a journey towards self-discovery. ❤️
